The Kruzhok movement is a country-wide community of technology enthusiasts. It is based on the principle of horizontal connections among people, ideas, and resources.

Kruzhoks are a type of children-adult communities where technology enthusiasts alongside professionals develop the state-of-art technologies and apply them to the practical unsolved problems.

The most adequate modern analogue of kruzhoks is the Makers’ movement. There are many similarities among the principles of makers and kruzhoks participants: freedom, do-it-yourself, open-mindedness, technological breakthroughs, learning by doing, etc.

At the same time the kruzhok practice is a unique phenomenon that opens up new opportunities for education, technological development, and social changes.

The Kruzhok movement signifies a new type of interpersonal and research cooperation which is growing in the kruzhok community and creates technological and social patterns in future. Such cooperation is a basis for the development of a horizontal educational ecosystem which becomes a fertile ground for both a technological movement and a new pedagogical practice.

The Kruzhok ecosystem brings together technology enthusiasts, big companies, state corporations, and educational companies, connecting education, science, and tech business and creating feasible formats of cooperation of all the Kruzhok movement participants.
